Reviewing Books With Covers I Usually Avoid

**Don’t be a jerk in the comments, you won’t bother me and I’ll just block you.**
My Grandmother, Sylvia Campos, recently passed away. She loved reading and she was incredibly intelligent and funny. A love of reading was something we shared, and now I am lucky enough to share that passion with all of you. She was a strong woman, generous and kind; more than I could ever hope to be. As a first generation immigrant, she sacrificed so much for her children and grandchildren, so we could have a better life.
For a lot of her life she took people in and helped them however she could. Grandma was the type of woman who would invite people, strangers, into her home, give them a meal or help them in some way, even if it required a large personal sacrifice. You just don’t see this type of kindness anymore. When I was young, my Grandmother took my mom in and helped her raise my brother, Kyle, and I. Her willingness to help us in our time of great need shaped the course of our lives; I’m a straight A student in college able to pursue my passion. My brother is also doing what he loves and thriving. I don’t know where we would be without her, honestly. Her loss is being felt deeply by those who knew and loved her and were lucky enough to be loved by her.
Unfortunately, for reasons I prefer not to get into, she had lost her savings right before she passed. My family and I are trying to raise money to settle her affairs and to give her a simple service. If any of you would like to donate you can do so here ( gf.me/u/jgq4na). Even a few dollars would help us out, if you are able and willing. I know not all of us are in a position to donate, so if you’re the praying type, my family could use some of those, too.
My biggest regret, is that I thought I had more time with her. So, if you have a loved one you haven’t seen in a while, please take the time to reach out and let them know you love them. You really don’t want to look back and wish you had called more or visited more, trust me.
Thank you all for your continued support of me, and of this channel.
